The Executive Committee For African American Cultural Events Boulder County welcomes you to our new website! Please take a moment to read about our mission, initiatives, advocacy, and upcoming events, below:
Virtual Celebration & Video Projects Gallery
We had the great fortune to celebrate Juneteenth with amazing people like Ms. Opal Lee “The Grandmother of Juneteenth”, Hughes Van Ellis, and Ed Dwight!
Advocacy
ECAACE advocates for and supports Black, African American, and multi-cultural education and progression in the Boulder County area. We partner with organizations such as the NAACP Boulder County Branch, Longmont Multi-Cultural Action Committee, Boulder Human Relations Commission, and many non-profits & businesses of all sizes, that join us in promoting diversity in our community. Much of our advocacy centers around the celebration of Black History, Black youth, artistic expression, and education about various multi-cultural topics.
About ECAACE & Our Mission
ECAACE was formed to answer a call to action from the community, that we needed more events to highlight Black culture and accomplishments. We are passionately dedicated to the celebration, presentation, and preservation of Black & African American culture in our communities.
ECAACE’s Work Centers Around 5 Pillars:
-
- Education
- Celebration
- Tribute
- Solidarity
- Service
Our team has led, programmed, volunteered, and supported multi-cultural community events in the Longmont and Boulder County areas for over 10 years. ECAACE provides an opportunity to grow those efforts and connect with the community through year-round celebrations and educational programs.
